Game Updates

Traphouse Android Announcement

We have heard, listened to everyone, and we want to keep you updated on what we are doing with Traphouse. We have been working on Traphouse and have some awesome ideas on what we would like to implement into it. This will pertain to the Android version of Traphouse. An announcement on the PC version will be made after we finish the android version.

Updates to Traphouse Android Version

  • Add quick amount buttons for TrapCoin to easily get the amount you want quickly.
  • Implement an auto save feature.
  • Add the ability to buy more cook pots.
  • Ability to hire a bagger to make bagging automated.
  • Redo the ending.
  • Balance ranking up and give more rewards for each rank.
  • Fix other reported bugs and do some balancing to multiple systems.
  • GUI Fixes.
  • Try and reduce size.
  • And a few more features and fixes.

We know…

We didn’t mention above that we are adding any new drugs. That has been a massive request and we would love to do it, but the way we initially made Traphouse this would require a lot of time, testing, re balancing, and a complete reconstruction of a lot of systems. We’re not saying we will never do it, but it wont come in the near future.

But we have a plan..

That plan is to transform the darknet market. We plan to redo the darknet market and add the ability to buy and sell a variety of drugs on the darknet market. Normal sales still remain at the door and this will create a big challenge to go between. This will come with a new range of challenges and pitfalls. We’re excited about this part and don’t want to give many details and ruin it.

Sneak Peak Reveal for PC

This is not going to be ready as soon as the Android update, but we are putting a lot of thought into it. We are excited about what we plan to do with the PC version. There are limits to what we can do on Android and we want to make it bigger. We hope that the future PC version can be ported back to Android one day, but it won’t be in the near future, because it could involve various challenges we will have to overcome.

When is the release?

To be determined at a later date.

20+ Year Old Online FPS Game That Is Still Alive!

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to make a quick post about an old fossil we found that is still alive! That fossil is Starsiege: Tribes. We played Tribes around the same time it came out on December 23, 1998. Tribes was a game changer and very ahead of its time. It was fast paced, had jet packs, multiple game modes, a great community, 32 player online play, changeable gear, and a destroyable base! Tribes was a go to game for years. It didn’t have much of a single player, but multiplayer was phenomenal and made the lack of single player completely fine.

After 20 years Tribes is still alive. This should by itself should say how great of a game Tribes is. Recently, out of curiosity, we downloaded it, logged on, and surprisingly, games are still available to join that have people playing in them. Whats even better is that anyone can download it for free and play.

If you have an interest in FPS games, older games, or just want try out one of the first FPS-Z shooters you should check out Starsiege: Tribes by clicking here.

The community is still alive for tribes and you can get involved here.

Tribes 2 community that still looks alive here.

How Do We Create Games?

There is a lot of work that goes in to making games. Some games require more work than others, but any game you want to create will require a great deal of work. There are a lot of options when it comes to creating games. You have plenty of engines and tools to choose from. This can make starting game development a daunting task since you may not know where to even begin. Depending on the type of game you want to make will determine which tools you should learn to use. We want to share with you some of the tools we use to give you a reference and maybe a starting point. Give us a shout on our Contact Page if you have any questions or need any help.

Some Tools We Use:

Unity Engine

Unity is a great engine and can do just about anything we need it to do. Unity support is great and its awesome to have so many assets available and a community that is big and helpful. We recommend checking out Unity and seeing if it will fit your needs for game development.

Blender is Awesome! We use Blender for 3d models, animation, UV mapping, texturing, Etc, You name it. Blender is a great software for any indie developer and you should check it out!

Gimp is an awesome and free alternative to Photoshop. We use gimp for our images, to make textures, make icons, etc. It works great and you should check it out if you need an image editor. We also use MS Paint along side with Gimp.

We use audacity for our sounds and audio. It is great for sounds, recordings, editing audio, making tracks. It is a powerful tool and you should check it out if you need to make some audio.

Tools We May Use In The Future:

Godot Engine

We really like the Godot Engine community and it looks like they are actively developing and making it better and better. We plan to use the Godot Engine in the future and think that you should check it out. If you have used the Godot Engine we would love to hear what you think! Give us a shout on our Contact Page
